If there is a sure thing in Fantasy Baseball, Miguel Cabrera is the definition. He was the first player in the majors to 100 RBI’s this season and has 31 Home Runs. Moving to 3B this year only increased his top notch value. I think Chase Headley will finish the season strong. Across the board, his stats are very, very good. With a nice blend of power and speed he’s given owners a nice return on that mid to late round pick. I sure hope Evan Longoria can stay healthy. I think if he does, he has a legitimate chance to be a top 5 3B the rest of the way.

He’s definitely been much better for the White Sox than the Red Sox, but since moving to Chicago, Kevin Youkilis is only batting .245. The difference is he’s had more power playing on the South Side.

Chipper Jones is one of my all-time favorite players. He’s putting on quite a show in his final season. He’s hitting .315 with a very Chipper-like OBP of .391. He’s even hit 12 Home Runs. He won’t play every day because of constant nagging injuries, but there are far worse options out there. Pedro Alvarez is due for a hot streak and when he finds his stroke, he will put up serious numbers for two weeks or so. He did hit his first homer since July 22, so hopefully he’s about to bust out of his slump. He is useful, so ride the wave when he gets hot.

Alex Rodriguez may help some in September, but don’t count on much. He’ll be finding his stroke for the playoffs, so temper expectations.
