We have reached a crossroads in the United States of America and there are two distinct paths that we, as a nation, can take. One direction is more of the same: war, poverty, corruption, and globalism. The other avenue consists of a renewed optimism in American ideals that will put the American people first and foremost.
See, this election isn’t about Democrat vs. Republican or liberal vs. conservative, but rather the system vs. the people. There is a club inside the D.C. beltway that couldn’t care less about the rest of the country. We are pawns in their much larger game. They are above the law in many cases and do not play by the same rulebook as average American citizens.
On Friday, news broke the Democratic nominee, Hillary Clinton, was back under federal investigation. The FBI director, James Comey, sent a letter to Congress advising them that new evidence was found in Clinton’s email scandal. While Democrats cry foul play, it is time to cut the drivel. Where there is smoke, there’s fire. A candidate for President of the United States is under federal investigation–for the second time–with less than 10 days to go before the election.
In a just world, decades of lies, deceit, and corruption will finally come home to roost in the coming months. No one can see what lies ahead in that regard, but as a country, we have the opportunity to keep the most corrupt politician in recent memory out of the Oval Office. If Hillary Clinton were to be elected on November 8, we would quite literally have a President-elect under federal investigation. This point cannot be stressed enough.
The alternative to Hillary Clinton has flaws, make no mistake. Even as an early supporter of Donald Trump, I could see his defects, but my approval of him only became more earnest because he isn’t a typical politician. He is off the cuff in some instances, but he’s not politically correct. Often times he isn’t polished, but it’s refreshing. His views resonate with a large chunk of the electorate. From suburban citizens who are disgusted with D.C. politics to the forgotten blue-collar worker in the Rust Belt, Trump resonates over a broad spectrum.
This is, without question, a change election. If you look deeper than the surface, you will find that there is a reason that both Democrats, establishment Republicans and the media collectively hate Donald Trump. He is exposing their rigged game. At this point, it seems cliche to continue talking about a “rigged system,” but the facts are ever apparent. Wikileaks has exposed how Hillary Clinton was pegged as the chosen one years before a single vote was cast in the Democratic Primary. Even her running mate was chosen in July 2015 by the very people that control her. She is nothing more than a puppet.
If you rewind roughly 12 years, George W. Bush was up for reelection amidst a war that divided the country. From my vantage point, the decision to invade Iraq seemed like the right thing to do–because I was a Republican. In hindsight, though, I completely disagree with the decision. Over the last eight years, we have still been involved in the Middle East and there is no end in sight. Not only did Hillary Clinton support the Iraq War, but as Secretary of State, she oversaw other unnecessary interventions in the Middle East.
The reason I bring this up is because I find it very hypocritical that the same people who wanted George Bush’s head on a platter, blindly support a Presidential candidate cut from the very same cloth. There is no denying that Hillary Clinton is a warmongering and a neo-conservative/liberal. Donald Trump, on the other hand, has made it clear that his priority is the United States of America. That, to me, is refreshing.
We need a strong border. We need fair trade deals. We need Supreme Court justices that will not legislate from the bench. Our veterans need to be taken care of. The 94 million Americans that aren’t working need jobs. With Hillary Clinton, we will once again rely on the government to solve our problems. With Donald Trump, the people will finally have an opportunity to be heard.
My biggest fear–and one of the main reasons I support Trump–is the existential threat of globalism. To put it bluntly, globalism is cancer. Instead of worry about one world, the United States needs to focus on itself for a change. We are over $20 trillion dollars in debt, meanwhile we can’t even properly care for the very people who have fought in wars that we have been fighting for years. America first.
I have dreamed of a candidate like Donald J. Trump for years; he is quite literally my ideal candidate. While I have soured on the Republican party due to their passiveness and inability to stand up for themselves, Trump has risen like a phoenix and been able to encapture the hearts and minds of self-professed republicans that have felt forgotten by a party that cares more about being part of an exclusive club than its constituents.
Blue collar Democrats, it’s time to remember how this nation became great. Tepid Republicans, it’s time to start standing up for yourselves. But, most importantly, #NeverTrumpers, it is time to come home. If you choose someone other than Donald J. Trump for President of the United States, you are endorsing Hillary Clinton as the best choice for this country.
At the Republican National Convention–and numerous times on the campaign trail–The Rolling Stones’ monster ballad “Can’t Always Get What You Want” blared to an adoring crowd after Trump finished with his speech. The first moment I heard the song associated with Mr. Trump I couldn’t help but think how fitting it truly was. You can’t always get what you want, but if you try sometimes you just might find, you get what you need. America needs Donald J. Trump. It’s time to Make America Great Again.
Therefore, I formally endorse Donald. J. Trump for President of the United States.
